The list

What ingredients are in Memocept?

Memocept contains one B vitamin, one mineral and five amino acid forms. Arginine and citrulline together make up about 90% of the capsule weight.

Doses

How do Memocept doses compare with research amounts?

Memocept's niacin reaches a meaningful share of the daily target, but its amino acids fall far short of study doses. The table sets each label amount beside the amount used in research or set as a daily goal.

The Memocept Supplement Facts panel (per 1 capsule) next to the amounts used in research or set as daily targets. None of these studies measured memory or focus.

Vitamin

Niacin in Memocept: 7.5 mg NE, 47% of the Daily Value

Niacin is vitamin B3, and Memocept supplies just under half the Daily Value in each capsule. The body uses it to help turn food into usable energy.

Adult men need 16 mg NE a day and women 14 mg NE. The Daily Value is 16 mg. The upper limit for niacin from supplements is 35 mg, because larger amounts cause skin flushing (ODS, Niacin).

  • 7.5 mg NE is about 21% of the upper limit
  • Most people get enough niacin from meat, fish, grains and nuts
  • Add it to any multivitamin total you already take

Niacin is the one ingredient in Memocept given at a clear nutritional amount. No study cited here links it to memory in well-fed adults.

Mineral

Calcium in Memocept: 18 mg as calcium carbonate

Memocept holds 18 mg of calcium, which is a very small amount. Adults need 1,000 to 1,200 mg a day, and the Daily Value is 1,300 mg (ODS, Calcium).

Calcium carbonate is about 40% calcium by weight (ODS, Calcium). At about 1.4% of the Daily Value, it does not replace dairy, greens or a calcium supplement your doctor suggested.

Yogurt, cheese, canned fish with bones and fortified drinks supply far more. A single glass of milk holds many times the capsule's calcium. Think of this line as a trace, not a source.

Amino acid

Arginine in Memocept: 200 mg base plus 200 mg AKG

Memocept lists 400 mg of arginine across two forms, the largest share of the formula. Studies of arginine most often used 2 to 10 g a day, with little to no effect on exercise (ODS, Exercise supplements).

Base form

L-arginine 200 mg

The plain amino acid. The body uses it to make nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels.

Salt form

L-arginine AKG 200 mg

Arginine bound to alpha-ketoglutarate. Part of the 200 mg is the partner molecule, so the true arginine is lower.

Research result

AKG before exercise

3,000 mg did no better than a placebo for bench press or leg press (Wax et al., 2012).

In blood pressure trials, 4 to 24 g a day lowered systolic pressure by about 5.4 mmHg (Dong et al., 2011). One trial gave 3 g three times a day after a heart attack. It showed no benefit and more deaths, so it stopped early (Schulman et al., 2006). The arginine and citrulline explainer goes deeper.

Amino acid

Citrulline in Memocept: 100 mg HCl plus 100 mg malate

Memocept's two citrulline forms add up to 200 mg. The body converts citrulline into arginine. In one small study, oral citrulline raised blood arginine more than arginine itself did (Schwedhelm et al., 2008).

That is likely why formulas pair the two. In blood pressure trials, 3 to 9 g of citrulline a day lowered systolic pressure by about 4.1 mmHg (Barkhidarian et al., 2019). Evidence for exercise is limited (ODS, Exercise supplements).

Two forms, one amino acid

HCl and malate are carriers that help the powder dissolve and stay stable. Like the AKG form, each salt means slightly less pure citrulline than the label weight.

Amino acid

Beta-alanine in Memocept: 40 mg

Beta-alanine is the smallest amino acid on the panel at 40 mg. Sports research recommends 4 to 6 g a day for at least 2 to 4 weeks. The benefit shows up in hard efforts of 1 to 4 minutes (Trexler et al., 2015).

At 40 mg, Memocept holds about 1% of the low end of that range. Tingling skin is the known side effect, and it starts around 800 mg in a single dose (ODS, Exercise supplements). A single capsule stays far below that. The seller's brief left beta-alanine off its ingredient list, but the label panel includes it.

Evidence

Do any Memocept ingredients have memory research?

No. In the sources we checked, none of these ingredients has human evidence for memory or focus.

The arginine, citrulline and beta-alanine studies measured blood pressure and short bursts of exercise. A federal review of brain supplements did not cover these amino acids at all. It found no conclusive evidence even for better-known picks like ginkgo and omega-3s (NCCIH, Supplements and cognition).

The brand's graphic pictures six ingredients as glowing powders. Beta-alanine is left out of the picture. There are no herbs, and no caffeine.

Our read

Are Memocept's ingredients worth it?

Memocept's ingredient list is clean and fully disclosed, but the doses are small for the amino acids it leans on. The balance tips on dose size.

In its favor

  • Every ingredient and amount is printed
  • Niacin at a real nutritional amount
  • No stimulants and no herbal blends
  • Arginine was well tolerated up to 9 g a day for weeks in studies (ODS, Exercise supplements)

Against it

  • Amino acids at a fraction of research doses
  • Research measured exercise and blood pressure, not memory
  • Salt forms lower the true amino acid content
  • No trial of the finished capsule

Before you order, check the Memocept side effects page if you take blood pressure medicine.

FAQ

Memocept ingredients FAQ

What is the main ingredient in Memocept?

Arginine. Two forms add up to 400 mg of the 665.5 mg in each capsule.

Does Memocept contain herbs?

No. The panel lists niacin, calcium and amino acids only. No herbal extract is named.

Why does Memocept contain both arginine and citrulline?

The body turns citrulline into arginine, and both feed nitric oxide production. The brand does not explain the choice.

Is 400 mg of arginine enough?

It is about a fifth of the lowest dose most studies used, and those studies looked at exercise and blood pressure.

Will the niacin cause flushing?

Flushing is tied to amounts above the 35 mg upper limit. One capsule holds 7.5 mg NE, but count any other niacin you take.

Is beta-alanine in Memocept?

Yes, 40 mg per capsule. It is on the label panel, though it is missing from the brand's ingredient graphic.
